Sugar Maple Stair Treads

Sugar maple offers light, creamy tones and a fine grain for a bright, understated staircase. The natural variation between boards makes each tread distinct.

Handcrafted to order by ARIES DEN in our Sainte-Sophie, Quebec workshop, these solid hardwood stair treads are made from six laminated wood pieces with your choice of surface preparation or finish.

• Lengths: 36, 40, 42, 46, 48 and 54 inches
• Standard depth: 11 inches
• Thicknesses: 1-1/2, 1-5/8, 1-3/4, 1-7/8, 2, 2-1/4, 2-1/2, 2-3/4 and 3 inches
• Choose your staircase type: open with a central stringer, open with side stringers, or closed with treads and risers
• Handcrafted in Quebec, Canada

Choose your finish

• Raw: glued up and planed, ready for your own preparation
• Sanded: sanded to 120 grit, ready for staining, oiling or varnishing
• Matte oil: sanded and oiled to highlight the natural wood grain
• Colour match + water-based acrylic varnish: custom colour matching with an acrylic varnish finish

Production time

Standard production is approximately 4–6 weeks. Custom colour matching requires approximately 5–7 weeks. Carrier transit time is additional.

Natural wood character

Grain, colour and markings vary from one piece to the next. Images illustrate the wood species and design; your handmade treads will have their own natural character.

Price is per tread. Stringers, risers and installation are not included.
